How Do You Get Rid of Acne Redness?
Acne is a disorder of the skin which causes rash-like symptoms. Acne is caused by hair follicles in the skin becoming clogged. The skin produces an oil called sebum. It also sheds its skin cells. When the skin produces too much sebum and/or sheds too quickly, the sebum and the skin cells will stick together and clog the hair follicles or pores of the skin. If the blockage comes in contact with the air, it will become a blackhead, if not, it will become a whitehead.
Get Rid of Acne Redness
When you are practically reeling with pimple redness, cakes of make-up and harsh skincare products are to be kept at bay. These further lead to inflammation of the skin and aggravate your pimple predicament.
There are a few quick-fix home remedies to cure the problem of redness in pimples. An ice cube held over the pimple for about 20-minutes followed by a dab of milk is quite an effective solution. So is holding a wet tea bag or a cotton swab dipped in lemon juice against the pimple for about five minutes.
Garlic has been used successfully to cure acne. Rub with raw garlic several times a day. Garlic is known to cure the toughest of acne problems. The external use of garlic helps to clear the skin of spots, pimples and boils. To cure acne further, eat three seeds of raw garlic once daily for a month. This purifies the blood stream and ensures basic cleansing of blood & keeps acne away.
Covering acne can be difficult, because the skin is rougher around blemishes and you don’t want to use cosmetics that will increase irritation. Mineral makeup is good because it’s hypoallergenic. Try a concealer with the powdered foundation minerals. Brush on the foundation, then apply the concealer on top, then apply another layer of foundation. If you can’t find a decent concealer, or if they all seem to turn too dark, you might try a little zinc oxide ointment, which is commonly used as diaper rash ointment. It’s white, and dotted on over foundation and then covered with another layer, may make for a smoother look.
Wash Face daily with cleanser/face wash and dry with a towel.
Cold and Hot water help reduce the redness and puffiness in pimples.
Purchase Redness Relief Eye drops from your local drugstore or grocery store.
Squirt at least 3 drops on the pimple and let it sit on for at least 5 minuets.
A More Aggressive Approach-
There is one other cheap aggressive approach which is quite unhealthy. Rubbing alcohol. You can purchase a large bottle from some place like Walgreens for $.99 on sale. Alcohol is capable of drying up the skin very quickly, it kills bacteria, and makes the acne go away. Alcohol is a cytotoxic agent though, and therefore kills cells on contact. So, it may be doing more harm than good. Only use in desperate situations, or once a week… Try to use alcohol as little as possible.
oil free moisturizers help, and if you want you can to have your face checked out by a dermatologist, and they will prescribe you some medicines. I don’t know any quick solutions to pimples or zits, sorry. Thanks, hope you like my answer! my dermatologist gave me celstone to take. It was an oral steroid. Perhaps a short term over the counter solution may be hydrocortisone cream. Ice really really helps with the redness and it makes it less bumpy
