Tea Tree Oil for Acne Treatment

Tea tree oil is an oil extracted from the leaves of the Australian Melaleuca Alternafolia tree. It has powerful anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral qualities.
Tea tree oil has been traditionally used for thing such as athletes foot, body odor, bad breath, cold sores, and yes it has been traditionally used topically for acne.
In fact it has been proven effective killing acne bacteria when topically applied. And because of that it is often used as a replacement to benzoyl peroxide in many of the “natural” acne treatments. Read more
